What’s the Story?
Discovering My Passion
I discovered my passion for photography during high school, where I was thrilled to have the chance to take a photography class in my junior year—thanks to Mrs. Hebert for making that possible. At that time, 35mm film cameras were the standard, and developing photos in dark rooms was still a common practice. Although I didn’t own a camera back then, this early exposure fueled my interest in the art form. It wasn’t until after college that I received my first camera kit as a gift from my then-boyfriend, now husband. Over the years, I accumulated boxes of negatives, slides, and prints that document my early work and growth as a photographer.
Embracing the Digital Era
As soon as digital photography became more affordable and accessible, I made the transition from film to digital. The digital format provided opportunities for experimentation and creative growth that were not possible with film. Additionally, social media platforms offered new ways to share my images, giving them a wider audience instead of having them remain unseen on hard drives.
Subjects That Inspire Me
My photographic work features the subjects I am most passionate about, spanning multiple categories. While nature and flowers have always been among my favorite topics, I have also developed a love for capturing architecture and street scenes. I hope these images bring you as much enjoyment as I experience while creating them.
